What makes Pickering Village different
Most of Ajax was built in waves of subdivisions from the 1970s on. Pickering Village predates that. The core has century and early 20th-century homes on irregular, tree-lined lots, a small commercial strip of shops and restaurants along Old Kingston Road, and the Duffins Creek ravine running through it. Despite the name, most of the neighbourhood sits within Ajax, not the city of Pickering.
For buyers, it offers character and walkability that the newer parts of town cannot, along with proximity to Highway 401, the Ajax GO station and Pickering Village Museum.
